MTA CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCES NEW PUBLIC SAFETY “APP” TO REPORT CRIMES ON BUS AND RAIL LINES
LOS ANGELES COUNTY — To improve safety on Metro buses and trains, Metro Board Chair Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich and Sheriff’s Commander Ronene Anda demonstrate the new LA Metro Transit Watch — a new app that empowers bus and train passengers to be connected directly with the Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau with a push of one button.
“Keeping in mind that one crime is too many, we must continually work to enhance transit safety to prevent criminal activity,” said Antonovich.
Photos of incidents may also be instantly downloaded to the Sheriff’s dispatch center for analysis and action.
