RIBBON CUTTING TO CELEBRATE THE NEW HIGH DESERT REGIONAL HEALTH CENTER
LOS ANGELES COUNTY— Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich joined local civic leaders, community residents, patients, and health care advocates to dedicate the new state-of-the-art High Desert Regional Health Center, which will open to the public on June 23.
“Residents of the Antelope Valley will now have local access to quality medical care at this state-of-the-art Regional Health Center which is centrally located and accessible by public transportation. The new facility offers primary care clinics, a broad range of specialty clinic, urgent care, and cutting edge diagnostic services,” said Supervisor Antonovich.
Operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, the facility replaces the current High Desert Multiservice Ambulatory Care Center with expanded space to provide a broad range of diagnostic and treatment services, coordinated outpatient services, including adult and pediatric primary care, urgent care, specialty care and outpatient surgery.
Special programs housed at the Health Center will include an HIV/AIDS Clinic, Foster Care Medical HUB Clinic, disease management programs for diabetes and asthma, and a pediatric dental clinic. The facility was also designed to meet environmental energy and design (LEED) gold standards.
