Bill Seki, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Go For Broke Monument and Supervisor Antonovich
LOS ANGELES COUNTY — Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich along with members of the Japanese community celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Go For Broke monument located in Little Tokyo.
The monument pays homage to the more than 16,000 courageous and heroic Japanese American soldiers and officers who served overseas during World War II.
This year’s dedication ceremony paid tribute to the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Infantry Battalion, 522nd Field Artillery Battalion, 232nd Combat Engineer Company, 1399th Engineer Construction Battalion, and Military Intelligence Service.
