LOS ANGELES COUNTY — Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich welcomed Sharon Raghavachary, son Josh, daughter Becky, and husband Saty to recognize the month of November as Hydrocephalus Awareness Month in Los Angeles County.
Hydrocephalus is a serious neurological condition that causes the abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluids in the brain. There is no known cure for Hydrocephalus, which affects an estimated one million Americans and treatment costs exceed $1 billion dollars a year.
With appropriate diagnosis and treatment people with Hydrocephalus are able to live full and productive lives.
