Kathryn Barger, Supervisor Antonovich’s Chief of Staff, joined Santa Clarita Mayor Laurene Weste and Mayor Pro Tem Marsha McLean along with community members for the dedication of Gateway Ranch, a 302-acre property once planned for housing development, which will now be part of the Santa Clarita Valley Open Space Preservation District. This new designation will preserve the 302-acres in perpetuity as a protected wildlife corridor and part of the City of Santa Clarita’s southern greenbelt.
