For more than two decades, we have raised awareness of the countless abandoned animals in L.A. County shelters in need of loving homes. Every week at the Board of Supervisors meeting, we present an animal in need of a home from one of Los Angeles County’s six Animal Care Centers. Information is provided about the animal including sex, breed, and age along with a telephone number for anyone interested in adoption. This adoption program also airs online during the Board of Supervisors’ live broadcast meeting. To date, all of the 951 animals that have been featured, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, birds and a guinea pig have found loving homes.
