With recently-appointed MTA CEO Phillip Washington at the MTA welcoming reception in his honor. Washington had previously served as Denver’s Regional Transportation District CEO since 2009 after serving as interim CEO for 6 months and the Assistant General Manager for nearly ten years.
Washington is a 24-year veteran of the United States Army where he held the rank of Command Sergeant Major, the highest non-commissioned officer rank an enlisted person can achieve. Washington holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Columbia College and a M.A. in Management from Webster University.
