On a motion by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, the Board of Supervisors has directed the Assessor to report back on any actions and community outreach it has planned for the Porter Ranch Community as a result of any tax implications resulting from the gas leak in Aliso Canyon
“My office has received numerous inquiries from Porter Ranch residents regarding potential tax adjustments and assistance that the multiple federal, state and local taxing entities including the County Assessor, the IRS, and the Franchise Tax Board can provide,” said Antonovich. “It is vital that the residents identify and understand any potential resources that may be available to ease the burden of being dislocated and having their lives disrupted since October 23rd.”
Today’s motion directs the Los Angeles County Assessor to report back to the Board on January 26th on any actions and community outreach planned by the Assessor for the Porter Ranch community.
